For police officers, corrections officers, firefighters, EMTs, and nurses, working overtime is part of the job.
According to new data released by The U.S. Department of the Treasury, 29 million Americans have already claimed the benefit of No Tax on Overtime, with an average deduction of over $3,100. First responders work extra hours to keep our communities safe and they shouldn’t be punished for that. That’s why I fought for No Tax on Overtime because they deserve to keep more of what they earn.

According to new data released by the The U.S. Department of the Treasury, 7.5 million Americans have already claimed the benefit of No Tax on Tips, with an average deduction of over $7,000.
Nearly 90% of those claiming the deduction earned less than $100,000, providing meaningful relief to lower- and middle-class families and allowing for more money for grocery shopping, bills, and childcare.
I am deeply disappointed by Whirlpool’s decision to eliminate additional jobs in Amana.
These workers helped build Whirlpool’s success. They deserve respect, transparency, and a company that makes good on its commitments to the community.
My focus is on supporting affected workers and their families, and I will continue fighting to protect Iowa jobs and hold Whirlpool accountable to the people who made its success possible.

Wonderful meeting with Kyden and his family with the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
Kyden stopped by to thank me for the Accelerating Kids Access to Care Act, which was signed into law to help children with complex medical needs access specialized care more quickly.
Meeting families like Kyden’s is a reminder of why I came to Congress: to make a difference for Iowa families and ensure every child has access to the care they need.
Members of Congress and the Administration should not be allowed to place bets on prediction markets while making the very decisions that drive those outcomes.
It’s a conflict of interest and the American people deserve better. That’s why I’m cosponsoring the PREDICT Act to put a stop to it.

Had a great meeting with the American College of Rheumatology to discuss physician reimbursement, pre-authorization, and PBM reforms such as my bipartisan DRUG Act, legislation that would help lower prescription drug costs, increase transparency, and ensure patients have reliable access to the medications they need.
