Maintaining a clean and organized makeup collection ensures you're using safe products that are effective and can help streamline your beauty routine.

Here are some tips to clean out your makeup:

Check Expiration Dates: Makeup products have a shelf life, which can range from a few months to a couple of years.

Declutter Regularly: Go through your collection every few months. Toss out items you haven't used in a while, those that didn't work for your skin tone or type, or products you simply didn't like.

Clean Brushes & Tools: Brushes and makeup tools can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Wash them regularly with a mild shampoo or a brush cleaner. Lay them flat to dry to maintain their shape.

Organize by Type: Group similar items together, like lip products, eye products, and face products. This makes it easier to find what you're looking for and spot duplicates or near-empty products.

Prioritize Daily Items: If you have a set of makeup items you use daily, consider storing them separately for easy access. This could be in a daily makeup bag or a separate section of your makeup drawer.

Store Properly: Keep your makeup in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Warm, moist environments can deteriorate products faster and encourage the growth of mold and bacteria.
