If you ever wondered how Upshur Street was all cleaned up before a Craft Fair or Celebrate Petworth? Or how the alley beside Willow went from full of weeds to pristine in a couple of hours - You can thank John Green. For over a decade, he helped me with trying to make the street look nicer by planting flowers (even if our many attempts didn't always succeed) and just keeping the block looking as nice as we could!

John passed away this week and he will be greatly missed on the block. He was a good friend to me, Willow and Upshur Street and the block won't be the same without him.
