Next up, another Core Artist ✨Sam Sherman✨

Sam Sherman (he/they) is an actor, director, and spoken-word poet. A native of Washington, D.C., Sam has worked throughout the D.C. area and is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (BFA Acting, 2020). They are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with The Reclamation Project and with this amazingly talented group of artists. Recent Acting Credits: Mended Wing Theater Company; Twelfth Night (Toby Belch/Captain) UNCSA; A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City (Don), BlockSpace & SoundScapes (Original Solo Performance), Scenes from an Ex*****on (Prodo), Suddenly Last Summer (George Holly). Next one of our Core Artists and a frequent facilitator ✨Christopher Michael Richardson✨

Christopher Michael Richardson (he/him) is an actor and teaching artist in the Washington D.C. area. You may have seen him in shows with The John F. Kennedy Center TYA, Signature Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, Ford’s Theatre, and Round House Theatre. Christopher is invested in the healing of the artists, technicians and administrators of the Washington DC theater scene and he hopes that The Reclamation Project is the beginning of creating space for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and disabled members of the theatre community to live and work as their fullest selves. He holds a BA in English and Theatre from The College of William & Mary. www.cmrich.me

Next we have another first time collaborator, the luminous ✨Larry Lewis✨

Larry Lewis is a Theatre Performance Major at Old Dominion University. He has been acting for almost 14 years and has since branched out into writing, directing, and choreographing. He is happy to be apart of these discussions and hopes that creating these spaces will result in further inclusion and diversity in theatre.

The brainchild of Tẹmídayọ Amay, The project identifies as “a q***r Black creation studio that aims to celebrate q***r Black Joy, to make q***r Black History, and to foster q***r Black Liberation.”
