Come join All Souls friends in person as we text voters on Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 12:30-2 p.m. There isn't much time left!

We will be on the rooftop of 2651 16th Street NW (just a few doors down from All Souls). There will be pizza, drinks, snacks, and a beautiful view to enjoy! If the weather is bad, no problem--we'll just move into the clubhouse!

Community Partner: Poor People's Campaign National Textbanking Program. They are looking for help to reach 5 million poor and low-wealth, low-propensity voters across states all over the U.S.

Our longtime partners in voter mobilization, the UU Justice Ministry of North Carolina, are once again doing weekly phonebanks on Thursday evenings. They’ve told us directly that many UUs from All Souls (and the DMV) participated in these phone banks in 2020, and that it made a big difference for them! So let’s do that again.

Everyone is invited to participate any Thursday they can, but the phonebank on *Thursday, October 20* is special because our UU the Vote of DC, MD, and VA campaign (co-led by the Reeb Project) is the official host of that one! It means we’re helping with the opening centering and making an extra effort to turn people out.

To that end, All Souls Minister of Social Justice, Rev. Rob Keithan, has committed to doing a ridiculous action if more than 30 people from All Souls participate! He will either (1) dye his beard blue or (2) have a bucket of ice water dumped on him.

This is all about democracy, so people who participate get to vote on which he does! Training is available at each phone bank, so first-time volunteers are welcome and supported.
