LIFE IS SHORT AND THE WORD IS WIDE/ I set this picture as my wallpaper in my phone to remind me to keep traveling and keep exploring. Hoping that one day I’ll look and it and get bored so I can change my wallpaper to the next National Park I visit. Going to the Grand Canyon last year was just one of those experiences that reminds me of how insignificant my life can be in the grand scheme of things. It’s humbling and also inspiring. I only got one shot at this thing called life, better make it good.

What’s one thing you’re looking to do to get out of your comfort zone this year? What new challenges and new places will you explore?

I’VE BEEN REFLECTING ON THE FUTURE OF THIS PLAFORM🪞/ My mission with this space I’ve built over the last 4 years has and always will be to connect the African Diaspora back to the land. The ex*****on of that idea has always taken many different forms. It’s started off with just teaching people how to grow food in small space, but I’m starting to realize that’s only part of the puzzle. The art of preparing the foods we grow and using that energy we consume to participate in nature based activities is equally as important to me.

This is why moving forward I will transitioning the brand under my personal name moving forward. Everything form the profile picture to username will change. I understand that this will be confusing for some people, but in order to grow and evolve for what I have in mind for the future this is an important step for me.

I will still be posting garden content. I will still be doing The Afro Beets Podcast. And I will still being the goofball y’all know and love. This platform is only but an extension of my purpose in life not the purpose itself.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has been supporting me on this journey. I feel that because of this platform I’ve been able to learn just as much about myself as I have y’all. I hope you continue to rock with me through this transition✌🏾
