We made our way across North East St. Ann for Read Across Jamaica Day 🇯🇲 visiting schools, sharing stories, and just enjoying the moment with the students. One page at a time, we’re building a love for reading.

Building brighter futures, starting with our youngest.
Today I am proud to have launched the “Books for Babies Initiative “ at St. Ann’s Bay Infant School.
This ensures that our youngest learners receive the literary support they need to have the best start.
Now there are 200 more books, that were special curated, and made possible through a partnership with the CHASE Fund and Di Cawna Library.
Children will connect, listen and understand the power of language.
Grateful for the partnership with Councillor Dalas Dickenson, the Ministry of Education, Youth, Skills, and Information Region 3, and the National Education Trust teams, as we continue investing in early literacy and Jamaica’s future.
The World Bank’s “Water Forward” initiative, launched in April 2026, uses Country Water Compacts as government-led action plans to connect policy reforms, institutional strengthening, and investment to boost water security for 1 billion people by 2030. These compacts tailor solutions to national priorities—such as irrigation, sanitation, or leakage reduction—to attract financing and improve water infrastructure.
Im happy to report that Jamaica has joined with the to ensure these goals are achieved locally, for the benefit of all Jamaicans 🇯🇲
