🌍 “The World Is Your Oyster.” Malikai titled his scroll The World Is Your Oyster as a reflection on stepping into the unknown with both excitement and courage. As he prepares for an upcoming exchange trip, the world feels wide open—full of possibility, discovery, and new experiences. Though the journey ahead feels intimidating at times, it also represents freedom, growth, and adventure. Looking forward, he hopes to enlist in the United States Coast Guard and later pursue a degree in history or education. Central High School became an important turning point in his life, offering a fresh start after a difficult childhood and giving him meaningful friendships and connections. His scroll celebrates new beginnings, resilience, and the belief that the future is full of opportunity. 🎶

🎡 “Wheel of Fortune.” Sarah titled her scroll Wheel of Fortune as a reflection of a childhood dream realized. As a little girl, she always imagined being on the show and meeting Pat and Vanna—an experience that felt exciting and far away. Years later, she auditioned and was selected, turning that dream into reality. Her scroll celebrates the joy of holding onto something you’ve always wanted and the fulfillment that comes when it finally happens. It’s a reminder that dreams, no matter how small or distant they seem, can come full circle. 🎶

🛤️ “Gray to Bold.” Anthony titled his scroll Gray to Bold to reflect a deeply personal journey of identity and growth. “Gray” is his biological last name, while “Bolden” is his adopted name—marking two parts of his life shaped by his early years in foster care. Navigating those differences brought uncertainty at first, but over time, he has come into a strong sense of self, confidence, and clarity about who he is. That evolution has expanded his vision for both his future and his family. Drawn to education through a lifelong instinct to mentor and support young people, Anthony found his purpose in the classroom—an “aha” moment that confirmed he was exactly where he was meant to be. His scroll honors transformation, identity, and the power of stepping fully into who you are. 🎶
