The National Cathedral School/St. Albans School chapter had their first book share of the year at DC prep yesterday! We couldn't be happier working with such amazing students!

We Read DC recently sponsored an event at Friendship Academy with author Lana Krumwiede, author of Just Itsy! Every first grader went home with a brand new, signed copy of Lana's book. Check out some pictures below!

"How do spiders take a bath?" Erica asked Lana Krumwiede the best question during our wonderful afternoon with Lana Krumwiede. Lana was talking to first graders about her new picture book JUST ITSY, published by Candlewick Press. Lana revealed that even in a story, you have to get the facts right. Thank you to We Read DC for donating the funds to purchase the books for all 78 first graders, their classrooms and the library.

The NCS/STA chapter volunteers had a busy book share at Excel today! There was lots of excitement, especially for a Wednesday!
