Instead of telling our feelings to GO AWAY, what if we embraced them? Allowing ourselves to sit with how we feel will reveal new truths about ourselves. It’s in these reflective moments where real growth takes hold.

It’s easy (really easy) to get comfortable not confronting something or someone. Being silent means we literally don’t have to do anything. Getting comfortable in this spot means no one will ever hear our ideas because we’re too afraid of being confronted about what we really think. It’s this type of hiding that keeps us from getting to know ourselves better. It keeps from real growth💪🏼

It’s not selfish to tell yourself the things you need to hear. We should be telling ourselves how proud we are of what we’ve done, how far we’ve come and how happy we are that we’re our own person. We don’t need to look for this type of validation from others when we can find it first in ourselves💙
