Don’t Forget to Join Us in the Family Forest!

It’s been almost 2 months since we launched our virtual community for small woodland owners, The Family Forest. Unlike pages, which are best suited for one-way communication, The Family Forest’s virtual community is a space that promotes interactive discussions, resource sharing, and threaded conversations. Our most popular topics so far have been invasive species, what people are doing to make money from their woodlands, and photo sharing. Sub-groups organized around special interest of wildlife and climate change solutions are also available.

To join, simply go to community.forestfoundation.org and submit a registration form. The group is private and moderated, and your data will not be sold to third parties.

Over time, we plan to phase out the ATFS page and use it only for major announcements. If you enjoy interacting with family forest owners and conservation professionals, we hope you’ll come take a walk with us in The Family Forest!

Take a Walk with Us in The Family Forest 06/01/2022

Family forest owners, conservation professionals, and others who care about family woodlands are now invited to join the American Forest Foundation’s brand new virtual community, The Family Forest.

The Family Forest is a dedicated online space where people who care for family forest land can connect with others who share the same goals and aspirations. This community offers landowners, foresters and their champions the opportunity to build relationships by using various content formats: question forums, polls, threaded conversations, live events, and sub-groups geared toward their specific interests. For leaders, educators and peer influencers in the conservation realm, it will offer a centralized location to post announcements, information, share resources and host virtual events as well.

To join us in The Family Forest, use this registration link or visit community.forestfoundation.org.

You can find more information on this new virtual community on AFF’s Family Forest blog: https://www.forestfoundation.org/why-we-do-it/family-forest-blog/take-a-walk-with-us-in-the-family-forest/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term&utm_content=Take%20a%20Walk%20with%20Us%20in%20The%20Family%20Forest&utm_campaign
