When my daughter was five, she went to a Washington Wizards game with my Dad. The stadium shook as the crowd yelled “DEFENSE DEFENSE!” My daughter yelled right along with them. Then, she turned to my dad and said, “Grandad, what’s defense?”

Just like the “DEFENSE” rallying cry for the Wizards, women need a “DELEGATE DELEGATE” rally cry. Delegation = the key to universe for women. For 15 years, I’ve asserted the five most dangerous words for women are “I’ll just do it myself.” Not much has changed.

For today, it’s fun to look back on the “origin story” of this Hot Mommas Project tip going back to 2009! We hit a nerve. Women are still recovering from massive asymmetries in unpaid labor post-Covid. It’s more important than ever to “DELEGATE DELEGATE!”
