Smoked Salmon Crostini with Whipped Cream Cheese
This is one of those appetizers that looks luxurious but is super easy to make. Creamy herb cream cheese, BBQ-smoked salmon, and fresh toppings on crispy baguette.
Ingredients
For the whipped cream cheese:
�300 g cream cheese�
125 g crème fraîche�
2 tbsp capers�
2 tbsp caper brine
�2 tbsp finely chopped dill�
2 tbsp finely chopped chives
�2 tbsp PitmasterX Texas BBQ Seasoning
For the salmon:�
3 pieces of salmon, 150 g each, skin-on�
3 tbsp PitmasterX Tweety BBQ Seasoning
For finishing:�
1 baguette, sliced into pieces
�Pickled onion�
Extra capers�
Finely sliced radish
�Fresh dill
Method
Mix the cream cheese with the crème fraîche, capers, caper brine, dill, chives, and PitmasterX Texas BBQ Seasoning until you have a light and creamy spread.
Season the salmon generously with PitmasterX Tweety BBQ Seasoning. Smoke the salmon for 45 minutes in the Borniak smoker at 100°C.
Slice the baguette into pieces and spread each piece with a generous layer of the whipped cream cheese.
Add pieces of smoked salmon on top and finish with pickled onion, capers, radish, and a sprig of dill.
Perfect as a BBQ appetizer, starter, or luxury snack.
