Beginning our coverage of Congressional actions on the FY27 budget, we’re tackling the House Appropriations Committee’s proposed budgets for NSF, NIST, and NASA. Mirroring last year’s proposal, the House appropriators are recommending difficult budget cuts for the agencies, while still being less harsh than the Trump Administration request.

CRA proudly congratulates members of the computing research community who have recently been recognized as 2025 Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), 2026 Members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAA&S), and 2026 Fellows of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).

These honors reflect extraordinary contributions to computing research, innovation, and leadership across the field. We’re especially proud to celebrate those honorees who have also volunteered their time and expertise in support of CRA programs, committees, workshops, and community initiatives.
