THREE IN-PERSON CANDIDATE FORUMS APRIL 7, 8, AND 9 AT ST. JOHN'S COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
The Chevy Chase Community Association and the Shepherd Park Citizens Association will be co‑hosting three in‑person District of Columbia candidate forums.
A forum for candidates for Mayor will be held at 7:00 pm
on April 7.
A forum for candidates to serve as Delegate to the House of Representatives will be held at 7:00 pm on April 8.
A forum for candidates to serve as At-Large Member of the DC Council will be held at 7:00 pm on April 9.
The forums will be held in the Frana Auditorium at St. John’s College High School, located at 2607 Military Road NW. All Democratic candidates certified by the Board of Elections in these three races will be invited to participate in the forums. There will be closed captioning at the forums, and the forums will be recorded for those who cannot attend.
Parking is available through the Oregon Avenue entrance, but carpooling is encouraged. St. John’s can be reached by bus on the C81 bus line.
For security purposes, bags may be checked prior to entering the school. No posters or signs will be allowed inside the school.
In addition, the forums can be viewed as a Zoom webinar at 7 p.m.

We are collecting questions from our members in advance of the Forums. The two host associations will review and select the final questions. We will also distribute 3”x 5” cards so audience members can write other questions, and we will attempt to ask some of those additional questions if time allows.
Please participate by proposing questions that you would like to ask of your candidates!
When you submit your proposed questions, in addition to the question itself please state to which forum it is directed and the neighborhood in which you live. Please send your questions to [email protected]
We hope you will join us to hear what the candidates have to say as we learn their positions on issues important to the city. Snacks will be served.

All You Need to Know about Home Care
Northwest Neighbors Village is partnering with Chevy Chase Community Association for an informative program on home care. NNV has organized a panel of local experts who will introduce various home care options available, such as hourly and live-in care, care management and companion models, and respite. Explore methods to pay for home care, including long-term care insurance, Medicare-covered respite care, the Elderly and Persons with Physical Disabilities (EPD) Waiver Program, and home care funded by local Area Agencies on Aging and the Veterans Administration. We hope you can attend!
