On July 17, 1868, Springfield was organized as the first African-American baptist church in Washington, GA.

Listen, wherever you are on this journey of life....I need you to understand that, "Whatever happened in your yesterday....whether it be victory, failure, grief, success betrayal, or joy..it CAN NOT become an excuse for refusing your tomorrow."
As we prepare to celebrate on Sunday morning and afternoon for our 158th Church Anniversary let us show gratitude for our yesterday and looked toward our future with faithfulness, gratitude, and hope that the promises of God will manifest in our lives.
ALL ARE WELCOME....Come see what THE LORD is doing 'ON THE HILL AT SPRINGFIELD'

Good Evening Beloved Springfield Baptist Church. My earnest prayer is that the Word given and received to us from our God fed and encouraged us all to press on and petition that our God make us better.
I am excited and hopeful for next Sunday as we celebrate our 158th Church Anniversary at the 11am and 3pm hours.
ALL ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO COME BE A PART OF THIS CELEBRATION.
