Join us tomorrow at The Fitz Garden Patio @ 5:30pm as the Washington Wilkes Chamber of Commerce presents a Yappy Hour + Ribbon Cutting for Slinky and Slade Pet Grooming! With FREE pet portraits by GOODT Gallery, a hot DAWG buffet and sips by Maddy's Public House, and tunes to bark at by Cayce Buttrey. Tours of the grooming facility will be occurring as will a raffle with some great prizes!

Restoring the Fitzpatrick Hotel began as a dream of ours...
I could see the potential in the Fitzpatrick Hotel on my very first visit in 2002. A large portion of the building had been vacant for 50 years, a tree was growing in the back of the building, and parts of the building were literally falling in due to neglect (http://www.thefitzpatrickhotel.com/photos/album/restoration). However, I could imagine what it looked like in its heyday. I could imagine people walking up and down the stairs, music and laughter in the ballroom, and conversations in the lobby. After two years of work, that dream became a reality in June of 2004 and continues today. When I see people coming down the stairs, hear music in the ballroom or conversations in the lobby, I know that you, as our guests, have made this dream come true.
