Mountainside Red Setters

This years trip didn’t yield any grouse but we manage to pull a few ptarmigan out of the deal. Tired legs and at the end tired dogs. The biggest surprise was Reds continued improvement on wild birds. This guy knows what he is doing a little work to get the retrieve down and he’ll make one heck of a Hunter. Our craziest find of the trip was a wolf carcass in some spruce timber.

Little Blaze got tossed into a chukar challenge to even out the braces and managed to take 3rd place with 3 finds and 1 back. Watching him tear up ground and go toe to toe with NAVHDA Versatile Champions and Utility Prize 1 dogs is just icing on the cake. Love this guy, Mountainside Sadie Kaye x Stan’s Legacy.
