Alaska Wing Civil Air Patrol is saddened to learn of the passing of 1st Lt Andrew Gecsedi.

A longtime member of the Polaris squadron in Anchorage Alaska, Andrew served as a mission pilot, enjoying Air Force and Coast Guard missions in rural Alaska. For more than three years, he served as Deputy Commander for Cadets, leading and teaching young people as he loved to do. He was kind and helpful and will be missed by all who knew him.
