After thinking this little guy was stuck inside the ductwork of a kitchen range exhaust fan for nearly five days, we were finally able to pinpoint his location. He was actually stuck inside an interior wall! He was very happy to get out and be released to a much more suitable home!

This little one was hanging out (literally) in a fireplace in the Willow area after inadvertently coming down the chimney. After performing its Santa Claus impersonation, it decided to snooze the day away. Little Brown Bats (Myotis Lucifigus) are common in southcentral Alaska. The best natural insect control you can imagine, these amazing mammals consume crazy amounts of insects every night! Watch the night sky and see if you can spot one of the most unique animals that calls Alaska home!

Here it is! The only Amphibian to occur north of the Arctic Circle and it's capable of freezing solid! This "where is it" was our most difficult to find. We took the picture and it still took us a long time to find the well camouflaged wood frog! Stay safe and warm!
