Structure Guitars

A few years ago, Josh built this beautiful acoustic and gifted it to a brother in Christ, . When we met Erik he was working at a car dealership. His love for Jesus was evident. This build was really special. It was one of Josh's first acoustics. Building it came from a desire to create instruments that worshipers would use to magnify the Lord with.

Erik has been writing and worshiping for years now and recently shared some wisdom that resonated with me and he gave me permission to share here in this space.

"I have wrestled for years trying to figure out how to do songwriting and worship pastoring with purity in a culture of self promotion and glory theft. In recent days some friends and I have been working on some songs and I’ve been processing some things. I’m not going to even pretend that I’ve got half of it figured out, but I have learned a few things along the way from my mistakes, as well as from men much wiser than I, that might be helpful to someone -

1. If God gives you something to steward steward it well. Don’t take the proverbial talent that the land owner gave you and put it in a hole in the ground. Go and use it to point people to Jesus.

2. If Our Father gives you a gift, celebrate it with him! It’s meant to be enjoyed with him.

3. Don’t let the fear of people prevent you from bringing your offering.

4. Push others forward. Kingdom work is seldom if ever done alone. Do it in community.

5. Have fun! In the presence of our Heavenly Father there is freedom and fullness of joy!"

Thank you Erik for sharing this! Thank you for leading a generation with purity and humility. Josh and I are thankful our lives crossed paths. May you continue to encounter greater depths of the Lord's glorious love. And may the gifts He has given you continue to glorify Jesus all the days of your life.
