Make a Difference as a Family Support Specialist (FSS)

Do you have a passion for helping children and families thrive? ❤️Families First is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team!

As an FSS, you’ll work directly with families in their homes and communities providing support, guidance, and real solutions that lead to stronger families and brighter futures.

📍Location: Fort Dodge, Webster & Humboldt Counties + surrounding areas

💼What you’ll do:

· Provide in-home, skill-based support to families

· Partner with agencies, courts, and care teams

· Help develop and implement individualized service plans

· Support families through challenges, including crisis situations

· Document progress and maintain consistent communication

Our team spent the day learning and growing through training on trauma‑informed practices, building resilience, and Hope Science—all while being reminded how strong we are when we work together.

Spending the day together at our all-day Northern Regional Meeting last week was time well spent. 💙

We focused on meaningful training around Trauma, Building Resilience, and introducing Hope Science—all essential tools that strengthen the way we show up for families, youth, and one another.

We also celebrated our amazing Administrative Assistants, whose behind‑the‑scenes work keeps everything running smoothly and allows our teams to focus on service, care, and connection every day. We truly couldn’t do this work without you. 🌟
