"Elevator up!" Storytime at the Library is one of the best ways to introduce little ones to the joys of reading, learning in community, and singing silly songs.

Storytime has been the foundation of our Children's programming for decades and remains one of our most popular offerings!

Toddler Time — For walkers up through age 2.

Next Thursday at the Library! WFPL, the Armenian Museum of America and the Hamazkayin Eastern Region Boston Chapter welcome Rouben and Liz Simonian for an immersion into art and architecture, culture and callings, geography and genealogy. The program will also include a slideshow of Rouben’s paintings.

Please join us on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, for Watertown's Independence Day Celebration in Saltonstall Park, located at 149 Main Street:

2:30–6:30 PM — Watertown Farmers’ Market: watertownmarket.com

Kick off the holiday with fresh produce, local food, artisan goods, and live music at the weekly Farmers’ Market. The Market supports local agriculture and small businesses while promoting healthy, sustainable living for the whole community. Cash, credit cards (for most vendors), SNAP, HIP, and Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupons are accepted.

6:30–8:00 PM — Summer Concert Series: Sound Bridges: watertown-ma.gov/761/Saltonstall-Park-Concert-Series

The Summer Concert Series opens with Sound Bridges, an award‑winning NYC‑based global music ensemble. Blending West African rhythms with jazz, blues, and groove-driven styles, they deliver high‑energy, feel‑good performances that get audiences moving and connecting. Bring a blanket or chair.

8:45 PM — Watertown POPS Patriotic Lightshow: www.commandersmansion.com/cityevents/watertownpops

End the evening with a dazzling patriotic lightshow set to music. Enjoy a live DJ, food trucks, and free Culture Pop Soda (while supplies last). Bring a blanket or chair and get ready to light up the night as we celebrate 250 years of the United States.
