Revisiting a half finished painting from a couple years ago. Still a ways to go. Reference photo is an image I took diving in the kelp forests of Monterey Bay, California.

Challenged myself to do a quick oil painting study in one sitting last night. Not always my comfort zone but really enjoyed it. Painting is of Anacapa Island in Southern California.

14” x 11” graphite drawing of carcharodon carcharius, the great white shark. Doing a series of black and white portraits of this shark, along with other west coast marine life. More to come!

Nearly finished working up this quick study of a white shark. I love the simplicity of a black and white pencil drawing.
