National Occupational Therapy Month 💙🐴

This month, we’re celebrating the impact of occupational therapy at LifeStriders—and the incredible professionals who make it possible.

We’re grateful to have both an Occupational Therapist (OT) and an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) as part of our team, working together to support our riders in building strength, coordination, independence, and confidence.

In the barn, therapy looks a little different. It might be reaching for the reins, improving posture in the saddle, or connecting with a horse in a way that builds trust and emotional growth.

Every session is thoughtful, purposeful, and centered around each rider’s unique goals—and we’re so thankful for the care and dedication our OT team brings to this work every day. 💙

Today, we had the opportunity to celebrate something truly special—our incredible volunteers.

At LifeStriders, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether they’re leading horses, side-walking, helping behind the scenes, or simply showing up with a smile, they make each lesson possible and each connection meaningful.

Because of you, our riders gain confidence, build strength, and experience the joy of working with our amazing horses. Your time, compassion, and dedication do not go unnoticed—and today was just a small way to say thank you.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you.
