A lot of hard work by many people from right here in the Cedar Valley (including Bremer County and Waverly) came to fruition last night.

Notice the yellow Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT's) transporting the Space Launch System (SLS) Rocket in the photo. SPMT's were designed and built right here in the Cedar Valley by Wheelift / TDS Automation.

Artemis II transported a crew of four Astronauts to orbit the Earth twice and figure eight around the Moon in the Orion Space Capsule with the assistance of the SLS Rocket. The largest rocket ever built!

What a cool thing for rural Iowa and Bremer County to be a part of!!!

We have completed the qualification booster! Innovative technology and proven design are coming together as we continue to prepare for our next-gen rocket’s first flight in 2021. This structure includes the liquefied natural gas tank, the liquid oxygen tank, newly designed thrust structure and liquid oxygen skirt. Vulcan Centaur is purpose built to meet all the requirements of our nation’s space launch needs. Congratulations and thank you to our for all of your work completing this qual unit on schedule!
