Did you know all clover is not created equal? I'm sure you've noticed the first type of clover in many lawns. Believe it or not, it is a native! This variety is the Common White Clover. The second picture is the actual native here in the Carolinas- called Native Carolina Clover.

While common White or Red types of clover attract pollinators, they can cause true natives to lose their natural areas due to competition. You won't find the Native Carolina Clover available at any big box stores but can purchase seeds online.
