Ask Questions That Open Doors

When school starts back, "How was your day?" often gets one-word answers.

Instead, try asking:
• What made you smile today?
• Who showed kindness today?
• What challenged you?
• What are you excited about tomorrow?

Sometimes changing the question changes the conversation.

Twenty Minutes That Can Change a Day

Children notice when we're distracted far more than we realize. Tonight, try putting everyone's phones away for just 20 minutes. Play a game. Sit on the porch. Take a walk. Toss a football. Talk while folding laundry.

Your child may not remember exactly what you talked about, but they'll remember how it felt to have your full attention.

📸 Pieces of Our Past: More Than a Classroom

School has always been about more than desks and textbooks.

It has been a place where children discovered new interests, celebrated achievements, performed on stage, played music, solved problems, dressed up for special events, and found caring adults who encouraged them along the way.

This collection captures another glimpse into the many experiences that made Ware County Schools special. Every photograph tells a different story, but together they remind us that education has always been about helping students grow into who they were meant to become.

As we continue preparing for the next chapter in our district's history, we're grateful for the memories that have shaped generations of students, families, educators, and our community. The traditions we celebrate today remind us that while schools evolve, the heart of public education has always been, and will always be, its people.

Take a look through these photos and let us know what you recognize. Do you know the people pictured? Can you identify the school, year, classroom, club, or event? Which photo brings back a favorite memory?
