Campground Owner Helps Police Catch Scammers — Thanks to Her License Plate Camera System!

Lelah Campo, owner of Skygride Trails Campground in Connecticut, had a bad feeling when a group of guests checked in claiming to do construction work. Luckily, her instincts — and her Inex license plate recognition system — were spot on.

Her campground access control system automatically logged all vehicle entries and exits using license plate cameras, and she was able to hand over that evidence to police. One of the scammers was arrested for scamming an elderly man out of $16,000.
