Yardstick needed us, now we need you...
We often think that there is no more dangerous place for a kitten other than places like Paterson or Newark; however, we were just proven wrong. A FOWA volunteer works at a generating station in Secaucus--definitely a dangerous place for any small creature, especially an inquisitive kitten. There are trucks, huge reels of electrical cable, transformers, etc. Well, one unlucky kitten was in the wrong place at the wrong time and his leg was crushed under one of the huge reels of cable. Despite rushing him to emergency care, they could not save the leg and it was amputated. Despite such a horrific start in life, he's a fighter and improving, but it's a long road--we've named him Yardstick. His vet bills so far have been $7785.33 and he will need more ongoing care before we find him the perfect home. Please consider helping us with his costs. Please share and help us help Yardstick
