Our young Bobcat kitten has grown so much since her admission to the Wildlife Center!

This feisty feline continues to thrive in care. Rehabilitation staff provide daily enrichment like new toys, paper bags with scent items, and plenty of climbing space, to encourage her natural instincts. She’s eating well on a diet that includes chopped mice and a special high-protein meal blend, and she’s showing all the right behaviors for life back in the wild.

Stay tuned as the team continues to monitor her progress through the winter months.

Exciting news for the future of Virginia State Parks! 🌿The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation has finalized the land acquisition for the future Hayfields State Park in Highland County.

🌳 The 1,034-acre property is rich in natural beauty, history and biodiversity, featuring forests, pastures, the Bullpasture River and even an 1800s farmhouse.

🤝 This milestone would not have been possible without the Virginia Outdoors Foundation.
