We made a visit to Homes for Children in Pettus Texas (outside of Corpus Christi). Here, there are 8 cottages with up to 10 kids per home, with house parents. They have a pantry that divvies up groceries to the families each week. We didn't know if we were going to make the visit, due to the expected tropical storm in the Gulf. They completely ran out of rice just two days before, but by the Lord's uncanny timing, we were able to deliver 46 bags of rice just in the nick of time. We serve an awesome God who provides for the needs of His children! We had a blessed time touring the campus and hope to return with a volunteer group.
