🌍 Ever wondered how we chocolatiers are handling skyrocketing cocoa costs? 🍫

With cacao prices climbing to unprecedented levels this year, the impact on the industry has been substantial. I’ve already seen a 25% increase in the cost of chocolate, with another 47% (😭😭😭) hike looming in September.

As a Valrhona Cercle V chef, I’m committed to using only the finest, ethically sourced chocolate, but these price surges are affecting us all.

My strategy? Preordering our entire chocolate supply for the next 6 months in advance. By forecasting my chocolate needs and securing a bulk order, I’m hoping to weather this storm without drastically raising prices.
