What youâre seeing in this reel is only a tiny glimpse of the pottery process.
Before a finished piece ever leaves my studio, thereâs measuring clay, weighing clay, throwing, trimming, drying, sculpting, glazing, loading kilns, unloading kilns, sanding, photographing, packaging, and about a hundred little decisions in between.
Whether itâs a rogue duck, a custom order, or a functional ceramic piece, every item is made by hand from start to finish in my pottery studio.
When you support handmade pottery, youâre not just buying an object. Youâre supporting years of learning, countless hours of practice, creative problem-solving, and a real person behind the work.

Lately in the studio đ¤
The past few weeks have been filled with custom orders, glaze sessions, rogue ducks of all sizes, and bringing ideas to life one piece at a time.
From a set of 13 handmade marble sipping cups to custom ceramic ducks finding their personalities, Iâve been spending a lot of my studio time creating pieces that are made specifically for the people who ordered them. There is something incredibly special about knowing exactly where a piece is headed while youâre making it.
If youâve noticed things have been a little quieter around here lately, youâre not imagining it.
Outside of the pottery studio, my husband and I are currently walking through IVF. Between appointments, medications, and navigating a season that requires a little more energy and attention, Iâve been giving myself permission to slow down when I need to.
The studio may be moving at a gentler pace right now, but the creativity is still here. The clay is still spinning. The ducks are still multiplying. And Iâm grateful for every custom order, kind message, and person following along through all of it.

Best of the month: rogue ducks edition đŞżđ¤
Over the past month, my pottery studio has slowly filled with rogue ducks of all shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities and honestly, I wouldnât have it any other way.
What started as a playful ceramic sculpture idea has become one of the most loved parts of my work.
Rogue ducks are my reminder that not everything in life needs to be perfectly polished or âin a row.â Theyâre whimsical, slightly chaotic, full of personality, and intentionally imperfect, which feels a little relatable these days.
Each handmade ceramic duck is sculpted, glazed, and finished by hand, making every single one completely unique.
Some are tiny.
Some are oversized.
Some look sweet.
Some definitely look like they have opinions.
And thatâs exactly the point đ¤
