Juneteenth marks the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
On this date we commemorate freedom, resilience, progress, and the enduring strength of Black communities.
As we reflect on the significance of this day, we also recognize the importance of protecting and using our voices. Voting is one of the many ways we continue the work of those who fought for freedom, equality, and civil rights.
Let us continue to honor the past by staying informed, engaged, and committed to building a more equitable future for generations to come.
Happy Juneteenth. ✊🏾❤️🖤💚

🌈 June marks the beginning of Pride Month — a time to recognize, uplift, and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, their history, contributions, and continued fight for equality.
Pride is also a reminder that our voices matter. Voting gives us the opportunity to help shape policies, support inclusive communities, and advocate for a future where everyone is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
When we stay informed, engaged, and participate in the democratic process, we help ensure every voice has the opportunity to be heard.
Happy Pride Month! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
