And here we have the first hurricane of the 2024 season. Now is the time to get ready, peeps!

{4:05PM Saturday} ***Tropical Storm Beryl has now strengthened into a hurricane. As of the 4PM advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Beryl is a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph and was located about 720 miles to the east-southeast of Barbados. Beryl was moving to the west at 22 mph and is forecast to strengthen as it approaches the Windward Islands. This is the official track from the NHC. At this time Beryl is not a threat to the U.S. but bears watching.
