Watering isn’t glamorous, but it is critical.
If you want new plantings to survive their first season, you're going to need to be on your watering game.
So, you just planted a new garden. Now what? Here's a simple guide on how to water...
Newly planted perennials need:
• Deep, infrequent soakings!
• First week: 2 deep waterings daily.
• Weeks 2–3: 2–3x/week.
• After 4 weeks: Aim for 1”/week.
Check the soil before you water! Perennial roots grow deep - moisture 1-2" deep is what they need to thrive. 💧
