Neema Project

Nine students graduated from Neema this week! Our Kenya staff team says, “It was such a colorful day, full of joy and excitement while celebrating our students who made it to their final year.” More than 350 people attended the graduation ceremony and celebrated together, including guardians, members of the community, staff, and students. Some highlights of the day:

🎶 The first and second-year students performed a special song dedicated to the graduates. It thanked them for the wonderful time they had together, telling them how much they’ll be missed, and wishing them well as they enter their next stage in life.
💛 The graduates shared how Neema has impacted them and expressed their gratitude to their staff, Grace Partners, guardians, and peers who’ve encouraged them.
🎓 Staff issued certificates to the graduates and saw staff, families, and friends give gifts to them. It was a moment of joy and happiness as the students were embraced by their loved ones and congratulated for their years of hard work.
💃🏾 The staff and all who attended the ceremony got a chance to dance and celebrate with the graduates. It was a lively moment, full of laughter and excitement!
🎂 Cake cutting was also a major part of the event. The graduates were each given a piece of cake by the Program Director and chaplain and then the graduates gave everyone who attended the event a piece of cake.

19 new students and 13 children will be joining Neema in the New Year—for a total of 57 young women and 30 children!
