Every morning, we all wake up with a certain number of spoons.
A neurotypical person might use one spoon to tidy their house.
Someone with ADHD?
They may burn through six spoons on that same task because they’re also battling:
🥄 Executive dysfunction
🥄 Distractibility
🥄 Decision fatigue
🥄 Time blindness
🥄 Emotional regulation
With ADHD, you never really know how many spoons you’ll have that day or how fast you’ll burn through them and that is when the house gets brushed off for tomorrow.
Before you know it, the chores that used to be “small” now feel like a mountain.
This is where systems save you.
✨ You use fewer spoons to make decisions
✨ You avoid the overwhelm spiral
✨ You stop losing time looking for things
✨ You eliminate constant “Where does this go?”
✨ Your brain feels SAFE because rules stay the same.
Some days you won’t have the spoons to do anything and that’s okay.
But on the days you do?
It doesn’t feel as terrifying.

Two Developmental Eras 🧑🏻🦱🧑🏻🦱👦🏼
Ever said “You used to clean when you were 3 why can’t you do it now?!” Me too!!! Solo Mom to tween twins + toddler over here 😵💫 so I went down a rabbit hole for us 😂
My little one naturally follows rules, he’s incredibly helpful and thrives on routines and mom’s systems.
The big guys need extra motivation 🤣 Around ages 11–14 kids experience “neural pruning.” Their brain literally cleans house to make room for adult-level thinking and hormones.
Toddlers learn systems because their brain absorbs everything.
Tweens forget because their brain is literally remodeling itself!
Understanding this doesn’t make it any less frustrating (been there! 🫣) I’m not the perfect parent BUT I’m a damn good Pro Organizer! It’s my job to know weird facts about the brain to build age appropriate systems and help you run a tidy home 🏠
But if you need help getting kids to cooperate for a photo don’t call me 🤣🤣
✨ My son sharing his favorite organizing hack for kids with ADHD!💡
Unpopular opinion 🚨 Throwing away LEGO booklets isn’t mean it’s making room for more creativity (and less clutter). Your kids don’t need to run the house, YOU set the standard 🏡✨

You see an aesthetically pleasing pantry. I see systems baby 😏
Let’s talk about decanting. While it looks beautiful, not everyone can keep up with restocking those containers and if you don’t it defeats the purpose.
In this pantry, I didn’t put everything in matching bins just because pintrest tells us to. Instead, I zoned and categorized items by shelf so it’s simple to maintain. Snacks went into bins so the kids can grab them easily, and I rearranged appliances to not only make the space look better, but to also give them a forever home.
I don’t just style shelves 🙄 I listen, learn, and design systems that fit the client even if they don’t know exactly what they want yet. It’s my job to know YOU & how to UTILIZE YOUR SPACE!

The Two Sides of Professional Organizing (That Most People Don’t Know About)
When people think of professional organizing, they usually picture matching bins, labels, and rainbow pantries. That’s the aesthetic side of organizing.
But there’s another, more impactful side.
The behavioral side.
This is where we explore the why behind the clutter:
➡️ ADHD, executive dysfunction, task paralysis
➡️ Emotional attachment
➡️ Lack of systems
➡️ Overwhelm, guilt, decision fatigue.
When hiring a professional organizer, it’s important to know the difference. Some organizers only focus on the aesthetic side recommending you spend hundreds on bins and baskets but here’s how I do things differently:
✅ I focus on systems over stuff
✅ I believe a pretty basket won’t keep you organized if the habit behind it isn’t addressed.
✅ About 85% of the time I can utilize what you already have or minimal products are used.
✅ I teach you how to maintain your space long after I leave and how to implement new healthy habits.
✅ I look at each project and person individually.
Pretty spaces are nice.
Systems that stick are life changing!!!
