Another shipment of patent pending 3D printed 316L stainless Zpipes has arrived! A Zpipe works by forcing a 100% mixture between dual exhaust streams, splitting and recombining one tube from each side. This is invoking the maximum possible scavenging, or suction, literally pulling exhaust gases from the engine. Additionally there is zero increase in cross sectional area, which keeps velocity at a maximum, and therefore pressure at a minimum, further increasing this scavenging effect. The combination of both of these things allows the Zpipe to create horsepower!! A total side effect of this full mixture is a significantly improved soundtrack; crisper, cleaner, higher pitched, and reduces or even eliminates drone!An Xpipe falls short in all of these areas. It doesn’t mix 100% which doesn’t offer the greatest scavenging. It doesn’t maintain velocity, as it causes a slow down of gasses at the large merge, increasing pressure and decreasing scavenging ability. Also without a full mixture you don’t get to hear the entire engine correctly.
