Lawn is looking great this season. Last fall we ripped up a bunch of clumping fescue, seeded and watered a lot.

On Saturday we dug up some clumping fescue areas of a lawn.

Put some topsoil-compost and mixed in some good seed.

Water schedule:
Saturday after our work- watered the new soil/seed.
Saturday 7pm watered for 20 mins using a normal yard sprinkler.
Sunday 7:00- 20 mins sprinkler
Sunday 12:00- 10 mins sprinkler
Sunday 4:00- 10 mins sprinkler
Sunday 7:00- 20 mins sprinkler

Repeated this on Monday and Tuesday.
Sat-Tuesday were warm late summer days.
Wednesday morning we have a nice growth appearing!

I’ll continue my schedule on Wednesday and the rest of the week. If it rains we will skip cycles in lieu of rain.

Overall just sharing to help with a process to see results.

Our seed is quality rye and KBG mix 50/50. The rye is showing growth after a good 3 day water cycle. The KBG will need another week so we will continue our routine for another week to help the KBG and continue growth. These new seedlings need water.
We chose to not use fertilizer for this project.
We will fertilize in late October with a winterizer. The grass should be mature enough by then.

Still a little bit of work to do on this one, a little planting in a couple spots and then the rest of the rock.
But looking miles better now!
