It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my father, Mieczyslaw Lipinski. He lived a life defined by dedication and hard work; these are values he instilled in me and that I carry into my professional work every day.
For friends and colleagues who would like to pay their respects, the funeral home has provided a digital memorial page. This link includes the schedule for the visitation in Bridgewater and the funeral mass in Manville. As his heritage was very important to him, the mass will be conducted in Polish.
You may view the obituary, find directions, or contribute to a memorial tree planting via the link below. Thank you for your support as I take this time to be with my family.

The Secret "Array" Hidden Inside the COPY Command If you ask most CAD users how to create a row of fence posts or a line of evenly spaced bolts, they will likely point you...

A little piece of code from our ACADDOC.LSP as part of our AutoCAD setup.
The first subroutine (or "progn") deletes existing page setups from the drawing and then imports new ones from a template drawing (dwt).
The second subroutine inserts a drawing as a block (effectively redefining if it already exists). The lone "(command)" essential mimics hitting the ESC button so that you don't need a base point, rotation, and/or scale values, but the block is still refined and in the drawing's database.
We use this bit of code in our ACADDOC.LSP to provide the current user the latest page setups (printers change over time) and the latest company logo (with slogans changing often).
Problem was, it wasn't working right. The current drawing still had old page setups mixed in with new ones.
Apparently, when inserting a drawing as a block, you inherent the page setups from that same drawing.
Solution? Reverse the order of the subroutines.
Take away? Order of operations are key.
Also, be careful when inserting drawings. Not only will you inherent page setups, but also unwanted styles of various flavors (DIM, TEXT, TABLE, etc).
