WCJC Human Services

The Human Services Club will be selling Breat Cancer Awareness T-Shirts at the Blinn vs WCJC Volleyball game Thursday, October 10th. Games begin at 6:00, T-Shirt sales start at 5:30. They are $20.00 each and we have a variety of sizes. They are going fast! Come out and support survivors and ones fighting the battle.

Victoria Schultz Attended the Crisis Center Grand Opening/Social Event in Wharton yesterday evening (April 21st) and it was a sensational hit in the Wharton Community!! It was also an opportunity to have a photo shoot with her graduates who work for the Center! They are such an asset to our communities!!💕

Wharton County Junior College hostes a Student Awards Ceremony on April 21, 2022, in recognition of Student Achievement for the academic year of 2021-2022. Ms. Ashley Dawson is the recipient of the Academic Achievement and Outstanding Service Award from the Department of Human Services. Ms. Dawson is graduating in May and will continue pursuing her BAAS in Psychology from the University of Houston, Victoria.

Hats off to yet another successful student of the Human Services Program!! Congratulations! Keep making a difference in the lives of others!

The Practicum Interns of the Human Services Program of Wharton County Junior College want to wish everyone a joyous Holiday Season, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!! Enjoy time with family and friends, be safe, and may we begin 2022 with much Peace, Hope, and Kindness!

Haley Hughes represented the Human Services Club by volunteering at the Car Seat Event held on Wharton Campus on September 22nd. TXDOT, Wharton Police Department, Wharton County Junior College along with resident assistants, dorm students, Human Services student (Haley Hughes) and the Pioneers' volleyball team who all made this event a success by the 41 car seat checks and 34 new car seats issued which qualified according to specific criteria.
