Chris Mora Robots
Commercial, residential, and automotive fabrication and machining services, mostly robots and trucks.
This is an entertainment center that I was asked to make for a client mid last year. The small end tables hold his speakers. The large center piece holds his audio equipment and vinyl collection.
I like making furniture for clients, definitely cool opportunities to make things that are aesthetically oriented for residences.
Fully steel, blackened and clearcoated. I will share some photos too, eventually.

Hey guys, this is a residential installation of custom fence and gates. Usually, when someone orders something like this, it is because they like hanging out with their dogs in their front yard.
I am happy to facilitate hanging out with dogs.

So, in an attempt to share more of what I get up to, here are a bunch of powdercoated ADA rails for another community development in Colorado that I recently finished. I am getting pretty good at making and installing this product as I am asked to make it frequently.
I don't have many other thoughts to accompany this post with other than that I like being helpful. I like providing a useful service because it helps me occupy a mindset of helping others outside my immediate benefit. It makes me feel good. Thanks for asking me to make these things (you know who you are).
This video was originally shot and edited for my client, as a way of telling him that I had completed the scope of work agreed upon.

So I haven't posted anything in a while, and I guess the reason ultimately is that I just became so busy that I decided it wasn't worth my time to continue updating these accounts.
This discomfort has been creeping over me that I am not comfortable with the never-ending narcissism of social media.
With my platform I would love to point people in the direction of good causes they can help, something worthwhile that they can pay attention to, something that might make a difference in the world, rather than try to occupy people's attention with my life.
I feel unable to create positive change, help those suffering under whatever circumstances they may have, or to celebrate any good fortune I experience when others may experience so little.
People are always telling me that it's how hard I push, how much I work, that entitles me to good things. But there has to be a point where the tired, the sick, the poor, the ineffectual, the uninspired, the people born the wrong color, orientation, gender, on the wrong land, the wrong parents, under sadistic and indifferent governments, under war, genocide and discrimination deserve fundamental human rights, right? The opportunity to have basic health and safety needs met so that they too can try to prosper.
I speak with remarkable, glaring privilege. This business of mine feels self-centered, self-serving, and unempathetic most of the time. I have to work every day to keep my head above water while also making sure that head of mine doesn't grow too big or forget the importance of togetherness.
I have been happy working for my clients all these months. I want to share some of the things I make for them with the more valuable context added of how these fabricated items may help their recipients, even if only in small ways.
Up this time are railings made for a little Lakewood community. One little elderly lady thanked me for making her a railing so she may safely climb her stairs again, then she gave me some sodas. I don't drink soda, but it was nice.

A simple residential handrail finished with a white powdercoat. Sometimes when I am subcontracting every step after the final fabrication is handled by someone else. I never saw this rail after it was picked up from me. It's amusing to find my work installed somewhere.
