It is a complete myth that dyslexia can only be diagnosed after a year or two of reading instruction. In fact, by then, we have lost the most opportune window to help our dyslexic students find success. The “wait to fail” approach is harmful for the overall well-being of the child. Early intervention is the most effective approach! It’s never too late, but why not catch them before they fall?
