This weekend, a Shahed attack drone struck a nine-story apartment building in Zaporizhzhia. Two people were killed. Dozens were injured.

One of those apartments belongs to Sasha, 27 years old, a deacon at New Hope Church, and one of our most active Caring Hands volunteers. He was 200 km away delivering humanitarian aid when it hit. He watched his own building burn on the news. “Maybe I have nowhere left to go,” he thought.

When he reached home, he found God's mercy: his walls held, and much was saved. Two families next door lost far more. And Sasha? He is still serving.

This is daily life for thousands of Ukrainian volunteers and church workers who stay in the most dangerous places to bring aid and the Gospel.
