We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Madlin “Cookie” Cerny, a talented 15-year-old athlete who made a lasting impact on everyone around her through Sparks North Baseball and Schaumburg High School. Cookie was more than an outstanding baseball player — she was a fierce competitor, an incredible teammate, and a bright light to so many who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her loss is being felt throughout the entire baseball community, especially by those who shared the field with her over the years, including our family member, Gavin Rowley of Schaumburg High School. The memories, friendships, and moments they created together will never be forgotten.
Wow Factor Stoppers sends our heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences to the Cerny family, her teammates, coaches, friends, and everyone mourning this unimaginable loss. Cookie’s legacy and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
