Our Story
Welcome to the quaint and cozy Duck Inn Lodge! This owner-operated 15-room lodge, located on the banks of the Whitefish River and less than one mile from the charming Whitefish downtown, features scenic views, a private yard and gardens.
Each room at the Duck is unique, and all include air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and cable TV. Most rooms offer a balcony overlooking the gardens or river. Free Wi-Fi is available in every room and within the fireside lounge.
A homemade breakfast is served each morning and can be enjoyed while overlooking the beautiful Whitefish River (and our family of ducks!). The lounge area offers a relaxing setting to share stories from the day’s adventures, snuggle in for the night by the fire with a loved one, or enjoy a board game with friends.
The Duck Inn Lodge is 1 mile from the Whitefish Amtrak station, 2 miles from Whitefish Lake, and about two blocks from the free Snowbus pick-up to the acclaimed Whitefish Ski Resort. The west gate to Glacier National Park is only a 40-minute drive away. The location is prime for any and all travelers who desire a place to kick back after a long day of Montana recreation.
As two long-time buddies from Pittsburgh and new owners of the Duck Inn (as of September 2017), we look forward to carrying on the legacy of hospitality and spirit of adventure that guests have experienced at the Duck for years, but with our own personal touch. Our comfy accommodations will be the accent to what we consider a spectacular playground of natural beauty, and we can’t wait to share northwestern Montana with you!
