To be included in JAMU: The Ancient Indonesian Art of Herbal Healing is something I hold with so much gratitude.

Jamu has always been about practice: the small, consistent ways we care for the body over time. And the knowledge that is shared, carried, and lived, rather than claimed.

Authored by Susan Jane Beers via Publishing, this book is often considered a foundational reference for Indonesian herbal traditions, and to be named within it feels less like a milestone and more like a reflection of the work itself. It’s a reminder to stay close to the origins, to move thoughtfully, and to continue with care.
