Today Whitney Fire led a wilderness search and rescue class for local first responders. With face to face instruction followed by a skills portion where participants had to go out and look for hidden people using the tactics taught and what to look for. Thank you to Mount Calm, Steele Creek, Aquilla, Hill County Emergency Management, and Hill County Cert for helping to make this a successful class.

Whitney Fire was out this evening on a one vehicle major accident on HCR 1248.

Yesterday, Whitney Fire/Rescue had the extreme honor of being invite to the birthday party for sweet Dominic. Dominic is a 4yr old special needs child who not only is full of energy but is obsessed with fire trucks. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, Dominic or us. From the smile on his face to his energy, Dominic now has a special place in all our hearts. We hope you had an amazing birthday sweet boy.
